The Various Types Of Liposuction

Liposuction has been a very famous for people who want to get rid of body fat in a short period of time. The procedure is mostly recommended for persons who have tried all other ways of dieting and weight loss exercises yet still became unsuccessful. The common misconception about liposuction is that people think it is the first step to losing weight. It is not a guarantee, however, that you would not retract that fat in your body after liposuction – that is, you are not assured that you would not grow fat again. If you get a liposuction and still maintain that care – free eating habit and a sedentary lifestyle then that body fat would come back in double.
There are several types of liposuction today but there are three major variations that are currently recommended. One of these is the tumescent liposuction. This involves injection of the area with a diluted solution of normal saline, epinephrine, and a local anesthesia before a hollow suction device (cannula) is inserted into the area to suck out the fats. The cannula is made to tunnel through the subcutaneous fat and is sucked out of your body through a suction machine.
Another type of liposuction is the PAL or the power assisted liposuction. This is similar to the first type mentioned except for the fact that the cannula is attached to a rotating machine that makes it rotate also as it is being tunneled through the subcutaneous fats. These two use a local anesthetic agent which means that the recovery after the procedure is better because the patient would not have to undergo the after effects of a general anesthetic agent.
There are different types of liposuction that is why a consultation prior to the procedure is best to be made if you are planning to get a liposuction.
